Well last week ran into a old co-worker on my trip in to work one morning. It was early so we thought we would shoot out to a side road and do a pull.
1st Pull
2nd gear roll
He spun pretty bad in second by the time i hit the end of 3rd he was a good 6-8 cars back.
Audi 1 Skyline 0
He mention he was in RWD mode not AWD and that we would have to do this again when he had the car back in AWD.
So yesterday I get an email that he is ready to go and wonders if we could do a few pulls.
We meet out at in Sylvan and have a little chat about the car etc

2nd Pull
2nd gear roll he gets the jump
all the way to 5th gear we stay about my front to his rear fender moving back and forth at the shifts good close race. I am stating to believe i have a chance.

3rd Pull
3rd gear roll i get the jump
Pull a good 2-3 cars thru 3rd then i miss 4th but catch it with him still behind i think i may actually win then 5th gear he walks passed me.

4th pull
2nd gear low rpm roll i get the jump
Pull a good number of cars maybe 4-5 by the end of 3rd gear then 4th he creeps back to within 2 5th gear he walks past me like i was standing still top of 5th i start creeping back at him but he shuts it down with me 1/2 car back

We stop at our turn around point and chat a little more as i see he has a hand held either boost controller or ECU controller plugged in so i am assuming the boost went up a little after the first run. Also he doesn't want to go above 200Kph as his he hasn't put in hood pins yet on his hood that looks like it is made from 2mm thick Aluminum/Aluminum foil
5th Pull
2nd gear roll I get the jump again
Pull him the same as the last pass get a good number of cars on him 2nd and 3rd he comes back in 4th then destroys me thru 5th but at the top end of 5th i pull back up to his rear fender then we have to shut it down.

So i fought the Skyline and the Skyline won
We chatted a little when we got to Sylvan he is going to pull some weight out of the car over the winter and do a little motor work crank etc and put the hood pins in.
We decided for the next race he puts in some hood pins and i need to find some good gas.
I went home and told the wife i need a faster car she gave me the eye so i don't think i can get the Meth kit i want. I guess i will just have to find some race gas for the next race.
