i dunno about r-compounds, no money! i may have to make my current tires perfectly flush before i buy some new ones. i'm 90% gonna get bfgoodrich tires as replacements. basically super close to r-compounds but classified as summer tires.

Well, if you look at the results from the street tire classes (STS and STX) at the SCCA Nationals, its mostly Falken Azenis and Kumho MX. There are a few guys in there running the BFG's too though. Are those the S-03 or whatever they're called? Pretty pricey aren't they?

Geez, for that kind of money, why don't you just run R compounds. Granted, you'd need a set of wheels for them, and it sounds like you'd still need street tired anyway. Have you seen the sponsorship prices from mytires.ca?

hmm, ya i dont want new rims. i want the rims i use on the street. i need tires that will last a long time. these beefies i can get for $260 a piece, those racing kumho's in 225/40/18 are $290....

Hell, buy smaller rims. (Lighter too).

Depending on how our schedule works out up here, I might join CSCC too so I can race for the class/club championship. 9 events in Red Deer this year.
