Allen I used the connects2 harness from enfig car stereo so I could retain steering wheel controls. Everything works great but when I turn my headlights on I get a serious hum from the whole system it scared the **** out of me haha it was so bad I put my symphony back in. Maybe I need to find a better grounding point. Audi makes it difficult haha

i totally bet that hum is becuase the harness is connecting the speaker output to the bose amp input.

thanks alien I cut all the speaker leads on the harness so now only the RCA's will be connected. After taking your advice I inspected the harness and realized that both the speaker leads and the rca's were connected this would most likely confuse the bose amp and cause it hum. I know that I didn't damage the amp cause I put the symphony back in and it sounded perfect.

a bad ground would cause a hum, but not the one you described. you would get more of an engine whine with a bad ground due to the generator when car is running.

if you do need a hand, i sent u that pm with my digitz. just make sure u have a beer or two cooled
