Suggestions, Comments, or Advices needed.

Problem:
The 04 A4 Quattro is acting up.
Since I'm the DIYer amongst the fam, my mother calls me up and complains about the driver seat.
Everything about the power seat works (sliding forward, backward, recline, and downward) except for positioning it up/higher.
When I trigger the switch to slide the seat up, it makes the sound as if it would when it works.

Anyone want to throw me their .02

motor in the seat acting up? pull a fuse for the seats and put it back in...

warranty anymore? probably not if its an 04 but could call the dealer

search on audizine or audiworld too

Not under warranty anymore, unfortunately.

If you can still hear the motor turning, and nothing happens, then either there is something wrong with the gear wheel(s) or the shaft broke away from the motor internally. You will have to pull the seat out and take a look. Perhaps something is jammed in the gearing of the shaft as well.

Step 1: remove seat.
