Frick! Nice car! Been on the allroad bandwagon the last couple weeks.

Will be looking for a ride to Calgary this weekend to check out, but I have a feeling it'll be sold by then. :(

Re: someone needs to jump on this cause i cant!

How is the 2.7T in the winter? If I buy this (or there's a real nice '03 in Edmonton w/ less km and cheaper - but it's an auto), it'll be my daily driver, replacing my 99 mk3 2.slow. It's been an amazing cheap little beater, but it's time to upgrade to something w/ 4 rings.

A couple other questions for you allroad guys...

            1) What do they weigh?
            2) How is the auto tranny? Is it a tip? Probably too early for paddle shifters, hey?
            3) What kind of mileage do you usually get?
            4) How big is the gas tank?

2.7 has been great in the winter, I don't have any complaints.

              1) Mine weighs around 4100lbs, this was the scale at Mission Raceway.
              2) I have a 6 Speed
              3) Crappy now , Wasn't to bad when it was stock though
              4) Close to 80L I think, not hard for me to get more than 70L in it.

Re: someone needs to jump on this cause i cant!

Tank is 70L if i recall correct, in the 03.
Mileage is 12L/100km loose on city driving, if you don't use the power. Auto tranny was okay, but with that power I would rather have had the 6spd.

                Lastly. Mine was a sinkhole.

                Just saying.

Re: someone needs to jump on this cause i cant!

Thanks guys. I'll definitely be chipping it in the spring (if I do get one)...

What about timing belts in the 2.7T's? When do they need replacing?

There's this auto: http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ209935455 - Everything's been replaced, which is good, but worries me the thing might also be a money pit and the repairs will never stop, but I guess that might come w/ the territory of owning an allroad. :o

2002 6speed that's also had everything replaced, but getting up there in miles which worries me... http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ217804360

This is the Auto in Edmonton I referred to above: http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...AdIdZ222097622

Re: someone needs to jump on this cause i cant!

                    mine is an 05
timign belt needs to be done at 90-100k and then every 4 years or so from there
mine is a TIP.. tip is fine to drive.. sport mode is good
for being 100% stock is moves/powers along just fine for my wife
gas tank is like 75L or something.. bigger than my s4s anyways

you can find v8 ARs in canada too.. they are just a detuned b6/b7 s4 4.2.. but you can chip them from 300-340HP without issue

Re: someone needs to jump on this cause i cant!

Thanks Ryan. The V8 Allroads will be a little more than I want to spend. About $15-$20k is right up my alley. I've got more money, but I'd rather use it for investments that'll make me money, not cost me money. I seem to always go w/ about a 7yr old, ~ 130,000km used car. I've just slowly been upgrading each time though.

I'm all over the map. Would love an S4 too. There's a blue 01 sedan that needs turbo's for $13k here: http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ216127555 I'm not really looking for a total Stg3 project type of car right now (maybe spring), but this would be way more tempting if I could dump my VR6 corrado to someone. I know i'll regret it, but I think once I get something like a B5 S4, the Corrado will become obsolete to me so I might as well get rid of it.

Been keeping my eye out for a new vehicle for 6months now and I still havent' decided what I want. I'm all over the map. I like unique and rare, wagons, and AWD. Ideally all 3 in 1 combination, but that's not a necessity. Between an allroad, S4, newer A4 2.0T avant, Been toying w/ the idea of importing in some Euro E36 xi touring or some other 15yr old European car from Europe (No japanese beat to sh!t junk for me). Ie Mk3 syncro vento wagon (if I could find one.)

                      Open to other suggestions.

Oh yeah, and do stock 2.7T's require premium, or just regular gas?

How much is the TB replacement on a AR?

I remember reading my Bentley that one AR's engine has the TB/chains on the back of the engine?
                              Or I'm wrong?
