  • Matte black vinyl?

Wondering if anyone has any experience with a full matte black wrap of their car. Wondering what the cost would be for a b5 a4. I saw Nothing77's car the other day looked like it might be wrapped. Where would anyone recommend having it done? or should i diy?

I did mine, materials were about 100 bucks. Took about 50-60 hours

I would think you would be looking at a $2000+. It would take a shop a good day to do with two guys, so 16 hours of labour plus materials.

And if you took it to a shop they would be using the actual car wrap stuff that has the adhesive in pockets so that air can be pushed out very easily, which is like 3 or 4 times as much to buy on your own, let alone what they would charge you at a shop to do it.

                Re: Matte black vinyl?

OP: not sure if you've sourced some vinyl out yet but I used getcarbonfiber.com. They've got the CF vinyl, matte grey, matte black, and satin black. Pricing was ok (not $100 for the whole car good), but they include a few tools and it's the good 3M stuff.

Nothing77: where did you order from, and what brand is it? Thanks!

see post 9, they carry everything from the cheap stuff, to vehicle wrap(endura) to 3m di-noc. You can't beat the prices
