  • Oh man - Oh So Tempting allroad

Anyone know anything about this car?

Why can't I just find a stock 05 allroad with that kind of mileage for about $20k?

    Thoughts?

you'll never find an 05 for less than 28k cdn unless the mileage is nutso high. i guess it depends on whos selling but if a dealer has one with mileage like that they will be asking 30+

ESPECIALLY a manual.. those are unicorns man.. especially in an 05.. probably like 30 in canada haha

not sure why audi doesn't bring ARs back but they are more popular now more than ever it seems

for a k04'd with 50k (km) on it thats pretty cheap actually considering our dollar is par right now

I'm just a little worried about the 30k miles as a stage 3'd RS4 engine. I don't know. Maybe it's unwarrented, but my thinking as always been you gotta pay to play and any mods done to an engine are going to prematurely wear it down... I'm not familiar at all w/ Stage 3 or any highly modded 2.7T's, so I really don't know how they run at all. The last super modified car I had was a Stage 4 G60, and it hated winter start ups, had a super lumpy cam, and eventually burnt a hole through one of the pistons for reasons still unknown to this day. Whatever I buy, it needs to be reliable (well, as reliable as a 2.7T allroad could ever be haha)

I need some 2.7T guys to chime in I think.

Never had a problem starting allroad in the winter.

huh? i'm not positive on the numbers but manual ars are rare as all hell.

as for winter starts never an issue.. buy an oil pan heater too as that helps for sure if its outside.

they're super super rare. Probably under 50 in canada, 30 sounds about right.

how graeme lucked out and found one, i'll never know.

I don't know about 05's specifically, but there is quite a few 6 speeds available... At least in the states. And in the last month, about 4 in alberta.

Graeme - I will look at yours closer after work tonight (pics blocked right now). Price seems fair

Stage 3 2.7T's are usually more reliable than stock. You won't even notice a difference from stock until you put the pedal to the floor.
