  • RNS-E & Apple TV

In My Jetta I used bluetooth audio to stream music off of my phone, but this car already had factory bluetooth without the audio option. The Apple TV does the trick.

          Re: RNS-E & Apple TV

I got an RNS-E Multimedia Input Adapter from VNS Media
I hard wired a 250W inverter to power the Apple TV
A Monoprice HDMI to Composite Converter to go between the two powered from a 12V Cig Lighter socket to USB charger to 5.5mm plug.

Then the Apple TV Connects to the phone via Hotspot to stream Audio and Video.

            So much win.

What about cars that didn't come with Bluetooth? Is this a backwards compatible mod?

It's completely independent from the Bluetooth.

Couldn't find a 12V supply for the apply TV? You would think someone would have made one by now. Cool mod though.

                  Re: RNS-E & Apple TV

The Apple TV is 120V directly in, I'm sure there is a way to crack it open and power the board with 5V directly, but having 120V in the car isn't the worst thing ever.

Next you need to jailbreak it with firecore and attach an external drive with terabytes of movies
