started getting a weird "woooooooo" sound the other day. the car was acting normal and sounded normal except for the exhaust was hitting the bottom of the car when i went over bumps cause i was missing the exhaust hanger that mounts to the rear diff support. i bit the bullet and ordered the part from audi. i installed the mount which was a pain in the ass but the rear of the exhaust is sitting normal finally. right after i installed the new mount i started getting the "woooooo" sound. im wondering if it might be a exhaust leak that may cause this. i do still have a exhaust leak where the mid muffler connects to the rear section of the cat back. ( SSAC twin 1 )
i sounds like turbo spool but ive never heard it like this before. the car still boost normal and sounds normal under WOT. i can not hear the "woooo" under WOT but then again the car is loud and the exhaust might cover the "wooooo" sound.
it seems to happen between 5-10 inHg (vac) but fade once i hit boost, it does this with and without load on the engine. really stumped and a bit paranoid. hoping its nothing to do with the little guys down there
