Rusty Door Blades

Are rusty door blades a common problem? I found Ryan's thread on his Allroad. Am I going to have a hard time finding a used on that is not in the same condition?

It's a $280 part from the dealer, $200 from ECS or $550 for a set of 4 for the S4 blades. Sucks that it's so minor, yet so pricey.

is the door rusted at all or just the blade? if its just the blade i'm not sure what the A4 ones are made of.. the allroads are pure aluminum so removing the rust on mine was easy

Just a bit of surface rust on the door, but the door blade has a strip of metal in what looks like an 95% plastic part.

Sucks that DBs are such a PITA cause they look great... I'd hold out for some used S4 DBs myself.

the back DB on my s4 avant are starting to move out from rust as well and haven't found a good deal yet, will DB from an allroad fit i wonder

well that worked. Car looks great man! Any chance you might be interested in a set of High flow milltek downpipes? Apparently the cats are starting to go so I'd sell them for cheap. Would be perfect to gut the cats!
