  • Respraying the S4...torn on color

So the S4 is finally fixed up and prepped for paint (a very nice old man backed into me just before I put her away for the winter). Now my problem is I can't make up my mind on color. The car now has shaved side mouldings, shaved headlight washers, and shaved side markers. Regardless of color choice I will again be doing a Satin Black roof and mirrors, along with powdercoated dark rims. I have it narrowed down to 3 options:

Suzuka Grey (photographs white but looks BEAUTIFUL in person):

    Aviator Grey:

Or, bite the bullet and redo it the same way I had it:

I am open to any and all suggestions as I am starting to pull my hair out!

    Hey Kyle,

I love suzuka grey however I'm not a fan of the contrast should you paint the roof and mirrors black. Therefore, I would suggest keeping it black. If you decided to not paint the roof a dark color I would absolutely go with the suzuka!!

I actually thought about Achat as well...even looked at the same post you linked lol. It may be on my list as well.

Derek - thinking about it some more, you may actually be right about the contrast...

Even with the contrast, I think Suzuka Grey will look amazing. My vote goes to either that or Achat Grey. Black is nice, but its a stock color so many others have it, and i'm just not a big fan of Aviator grey.

My vote: Suzuka Grey with a matte/eggshell (ie. Not satin) roof and mirrors in black. I think that would look killer.
Besides... Achat... whatever. To me Suzuka is unique... Achat just looks like any other Grey paint job IMO.

6 months ago I would have said Suzuka, but after seeing a few more on the road I dont really like it as much. Aviator on the other hand... OR the Porsche grey from the GT3RS. Now thats hot!!

I think you just won the internet Mark!

99% sure I am going with Porsche Grey Black (yes, that's the name lol) paint code 7A1. I will stay with the satin roof and mirrors...and dark wheels

Similar to this although my car is not 1/100th as sexy!

                        Cheers!

That would be perfect!! The satin roof, mirrors and dark wheels would be amazing.

I did a black roof on my Jetta, I liked the look with the black back window and black sunroof. it works as long as there are obvious body lines to make the switch.
