  • 3.0T APR stage 3 details finally coming out!

I'll just leave this here, could really turn any 3.0 into a beast, no power or pricing info released but I would imagine that it wont be cheap unfortunately, but cheaper then buying the next faster car from any manufacturer, probably.

Yaaaa hard to say, this has been leaked and talked about, then shelved by Apr, and now it looks like its back out again, its been like three years of hear say and no actual information other then anything other then the stock supercharger has been causing engine failures. So hopefully they have this figured out now and can put it to market at a reasonable price

The block is the weak point, doubt you'll see anything crazy as far as gains unless they find a way to sleeve the block and make it work as well as be affordable enough to be worth it

^ This. The block is definitely a weak point. Even aggressive tunes with pulleys are already pushing the limit of the block. There have been lots of failures in the 450-500 hp range. To go past this and sleeving would be a very expensive must. The block is just the old 3.2 block with a shorter stroke, some spot heat treating but none of the high silica alloys that Audi uses in the new engines like the 4.0tt. This would have to be in the 15-20k cost once it is a installed and done at a level that would hold together. Used S6 4.0 and a $1k chip starts to look really good!

Here is some OEM info on the engine.
