or maybe not so silly, looks like there is a serious weapon on the other side of the 'shop' from the yellow frog-beast. Actually both were behind the equivalent of our 7-11 hence the bottles of water etc.

No, rentals on the island dont tend to be modified VWs, I think the Aprillia scooter I rented would take most of the rental cars you can get there. I just thought it was cool to see. Seeing someone backing a tastefullly modded GTi into some sea water to pick up your sea doo is somehow so much better than seeing it waxed up in someones garage.
