New Skyline GTR Very Close!!!

Well the new prototype for the next gen Skyline GTR is to be debuted in Tokyo at the end of the month but here is a sneak peak! This car should be out in 2007 and is rumored to be a global car so we could see some here but in order to have this twin turbo V6 with 480hp in your garage you will need near 80,000US!!



Here is also a couple pics of the car testing but in G35 disguise but if you look closely that is one wide G35

Its not a disguise - they don't use Infinity over in Japan. The G35 is the Skyline in North America. At least that is what my Nissan buddy has told me anyways...

What he means by "disguise" is that everything underneath that G35 body is new Skyline stuff. They are simply using a heavily modded G35 body to do some testing. Note how wide the car is, that ain't no G35 underneath.

yep. the "G35" above was just a mule for the finished prduct (first pic).

Edit: although I do prefer the looks of the mule to the actual GTR... I like G35's.

A Skyline always has been one of my favourite cars for a long time!! When I was in Japan and Australia I would just drool when seeing them in person (especially R34s) so I am excited to see this next gen coming out!

Thanks for the clarification on my disguise comment to and yes a G35 is a Skyline in Japan but this is the GTR which is very different.

I have read some other articles on the new GT-R, and apparently most of the car is carbon fibre . Front clip, rear valance, side skirts, and roof (ala the new M6) are all CF on the prototype....who knows if it'll make it to production though. Guaranteed that prototype would cost alot more than 80G's USD!

PS - No sunroof for 80K? I know, I know, it's a "performance oriented" vehicle. But seriously, with 480hp is a 150lb sunroof package gonna' slow it down
