  • E92 335i Vs. E46 M3

Well some very interesting numbers comparing the new BMW coupe with the very popular M3. Makes you wonder what the next M3 will be like, big power and big money!

Look at the dyno run on the car too, imagine a chip in this bad boy!! The 300hp rating is looking a little low

I've seen that comparison a few time now and every time it makes me go !

Not a big shock considering the E46 330 pretty much did the same to the E36 M3, but still it's making my decision obvious for my eventual upgrade from my E46 (assuming I won't be able to afford an E92 M).

The e46330ci can't even come close to the number that a e36M3 can do, the e36M3 is runnig in the 1/4 mile any where from high 13's to as low as 14.4 that is bone stock, the e46330i,ci it will runs flat 15, to 15.6 in a good day. I don't think that is close at all, i have 1st gen , and 2nd gen M3s and my 89M3 keeps up to a e46330 no problem, my e36M3/4 kills them very bad, that was before the S/C 350hp up grade.

Yes, I don't disagree with anything you've mentioned. But you have to understand the general point I was trying to make - the comparison is "pretty much" valid.

I still disagree, the 330 and the e36M3 are not close at all there is a 2 second gap in between, and the e46M3 and the e92335 is only a .2 difference. But i guess is all semantics

Exactly. Regardless, the E92 (and E92 M) is going to be a beast - and a likely easily tuned beast at that.

Twin turbo is crazy for sure, can you imagine what software and exhaust will do to it.
