  • Spring has Sprung

Maybe its here, maybe its not, but the weather was decent yesterday so we decided to take advantage of it a little.

I totally overdid the movement and am now bed ridden again, but we were able to do some good rig work and test some stuff out.

          Its good to have assistants.

Rigs are a hassle. Even more so if you are physically impaired. Pics are worth it though.

rigs are a hassle. especially alone.

i need ticker tubing. mine is nice and light, but at 2" the wall is too thin and it bounces way too much

              Re: Spring has Sprung

A good trick for doing the rig shots, is don't have the car running, just push it from a point where you are not visible or be on a slight downhill, it will minimize vibration transferred into the tubing, "ticker" tubing will make it heavier and may cause 2 things, more bounce cause of the weight at the end, and dents because there is more weight on the suction cups, so you have to watch on hoods and body panels, glass is fine though.

And rigs are damn near impossible to set up without 2 people.

Edit: I'm assuming you use aluminum?

Mine is aluminum... I assume andrew's is too. And you are right... definitely all about the pushin'.

Great shots man! Although I'm more excited for the legs to come out of hibernation in this city once more.

pushing is ok. we did both, pushing is a fucking pain though. especially on a flat road which we were on.
