forgot to update this after i changed the trunk. i bought 2 444's off of tj so i am now running 3 compressors for the 2 tanks. they fill nice and quick. also trying out the badgeless grille for a little while, maybe ill make it permanent in the future. i also can stay away from the roof rack.

the reed valve on the exhaust of the compressor was the problem, not the check valve. Dan's got it all sorted out now

Check valves were not the problem...

Anyways, we took the head off the one with the crappy motor and put it on the one with the good motor. So i have one good compressor. The exhaust plate was broken on one of Em.

I told you right off the bat, check the check valves.

    Right.

You can rebuild them, if the motor is gone though, probably better to buy a new compressor. The 400c dual packs aren't too expensive. If you want to buy locally, I think KMS tools carries viair stuff.

the motor in one compressor had an internal short when it was hot and the other compressor wasn't making any pressure.

Sucks that you bought a faulty compressor. If you can't rebuild the compressors i would try going with an air zenith compressor

Was that the cheap princess auto 5 pin relay? I know I pulled the other one and put the viair relay in it's place.
