Well, after 11 hours of work I think the car is fairly clean.

Early morning start at 8:00am



After giving it a wash I started claying it to get the paint prepped for polishing.





Then on to the compound - I used Chemical Guys' VSS.





I followed up with Chemical Guys' V38 polish. So far, so good.







After 2 hours of just polishing the hood and trunk lid, I realized that that was going to be the extent of the power polishing for the day. Still had to do the interior and also do a coat of Carnuba. Plus the wife was ornery that I was taking so long.

And so, I didn't bother taking any more pictures during the progress, but I cleaned all the leather, conditioned it, and then applied some Swissvax leather correction to bring back the matte'ness. It worked really well and so also applied a few coats to the steering wheel to reduce its shine. Pretty happy with the results, although I think I have a bit of "hologram" in the paint from the polisher. Going to have to get more practice with it!

Damn that's hot! Good for you Chris. I think if I spent 11 hours in the garage on my car that my wife and kid would move out on me. Haha.
