That's probably me , lately I have the Thule fairing sporting the urbanx sticker. I'm usually downtown in the mornings dropping the wife off when i work nights cause that's the only time I see her!

well... lets review what winter has done to the car thus far

1. Ripped Cupra lip off bumper
2. as a result of the above there is a small piece of bumper missing at the very bottom, thankfully its small and not noticeable...
3. ripped CV boot, cant blame winter for that but i want to
4. pulling into the car wash today a raised piece of ice, tore one exhaust clamp off.. as dope as open DP's are i cant drive the car like that.
3. AWE DTS taking a beating..

definitely sick of small stuff happening... need to do some maintenance this weekend... last winter i drive this car

plans for summer

17z BBK install
B6/B7 rear BBK
stern power ring for the rear dif mount
new cupra lip
wheels - thinking some rotiform but not yet decided

now that its up there i have to deliver!!

not much of an update but felt like venting a bit, hope everyones winter is going better then mine.

I can feel ya. Ripped my Carbon Fiber lip spoiler in half and drove over one half that shattered into a million pieces. That is the 3rd one. The next one I do will have a bit of a more Calgary friendly design and quick release fasteners.

I would scrap the DTS and go with track density motor & trans mounts and the power ring. 0 drive line movement and no dragging on everything.

If this thing is going to be my Calgary car I am seriously thinking about bags.

a quick release would be nice!! if you come up with something let me know!!

as far as the DTS goes im going to pick up the power ring and upgrade the transmission mounts from street to track, that should tighten the driveline enough and i can get rid of that DTS

Those DTS can take a real beating..... doesnt make a lot of sense to get rid of it, it still does its job.

Looks like rear sway bar and subframe brackets. Maybe stiffer trans and motor mounts in there also?

Nice weekend inspired me to do some work, installed the Power Ring, car shifts much nicer on either end of the driving spectrum, i feel the track transmission mounts will end the drive line movement once installed.

also installed this beast



any one with a S4 needs to order this thing right now, completely changed to way the car drives and feels, pain in the ass to install especially when you put it in the wrong way the first time.... but well worth the time and money.

in the upcoming weeks:

Transmission mounts and 17Z install, then some wheels and itll be ready for the summer.

Quick update on my phone while I'm waiting for some peeps

As most of you know my cupra lip ripped of over winter resulting in me having to do this



Then after some fussing the bumper still doesn't fit 100% so I need to mess around with it but...




After a long awaited wheel arrival they finally showed up!!



On the car



apparently I was in a good mood so it was brake time that night



thanks to Colin for staying abit late so I Could get extra fluid and finish the install today and Tyler for the lovely decals

I also have to thank Bob for letting me pick his brain for months at a time when it come to brakes and the platform in general

And a couple just to who're and show how it sits







Soo what's left to do, a small spacer upfront, lower just a tad upfront as well which will take more effort than I was willing to put after all the car time haha but overall I'm loving the car, it's been performing awesome and I've finally got the stopping power it needed and I think the wheels really set it off .
