Yes! It wouldn't be the same if Heidi was gone. So glad you're keeping her.

Re: The Evolution of Heidi.
So after much thinking of getting rid of Heidi and buying something newer, I decided to keep her for a long while yet. Yes she has some dings and some other imperfections but she's still very fun. So power and cosmetic upgrades will be coming down the line. No real changes this year apart from adding some bike carriers for some summer mountain fun!

Re: The Evolution of Heidi.
Lol, yeah, huge difference. Not much of a mystery though, as I had the new suspension sitting in my trunk for a bit waiting to go on. The ride is very smooth. As for the bounce back that I mentioned about the ST's, that was when they were in good condition. The Vogtland's, so far, give a very smooth ride for DD and when pushed offer sufficient stiffness that you get very little body roll compared to the ST's. The GT3's use a higher rear spring rate in the rears than the typical Vogtland coilovers and are made solely for Achtuning.Originally posted by e30mclow View PostThat solves the mystery.
While I was behind you on the way to Cars & Coffee a few weeks ago, I was puzzled as to your suspension setup. The rear of that thing was springing up & down like crazy.
Must have made a huge difference!
ST's look to be 580 in the front and 470 in the rear, while the Vogtland GT3's are 575 in the front and progressive in the rear from 675 to 760 at full compression. Stiffer rear end is supposed to reduce understeer in our cars. All I can say for now is that I really love the ride that these give over the ST's. 10 year warranty is also a plus.

Re: The Evolution of Heidi.
ST Coils are out and the Vogtland GT3's have been installed with Bob doing most of the work as I stood and held tools and looked pretty. Rear ST's were completely destroyed and both rear springs were also busted. Luckily the ST's are still under warranty and will be sent back to be reconditioned then put on the market.
The Vogtlands, so far I've found are that they are really smooth and although the ST's served me well I found their bounce back a little too much for my liking.
I'll post picks once the final adjustments are made.
Thanks again Bob!

I'm rocking square bars, rather than VAG aero/T-bars :(Originally posted by witchcraftz View PostTo fix the wind noise close all the gaps in the rails. Even a couple of small gaps are very noisy. They are $120.00 + GST. They gave me 5% off so basically no GST.Originally posted by e30mclow View PostDo you mind me asking what they charged for the faring? I ask, I was in there this week buying a fit kit, and thought I wouldn't need one, but the wind noise is terrible!
They didn't have any other 44" Thule ones in stock, only some of the ones that were used for Tour of Alberta.
