A couple things to keep in mind:

1. This was done with intermediate vinyl which is calendered as opposed to cast. It is more prone to shrinking and peeling. It is primarily used for for indoor signs and temporary outdoor signs. For Danny's application this was the best choice as he didn't plan on leaving it on for very long and it is much more economical than cast vinyl.

2. Wrapping an entire car in solid vinyl takes much longer than applying separate pieces. You need to work over all of the curves and contours. The separate pieces allow you to work around a lot of the curves and make it much more forgiving. The vinyl wrap material is cast vinyl and will not shrink over time. Typically the wrap vinyl is more resistant to marring (scratching) than calendered vinyl and is more resistant to UV.

Like he Said, this is the cheapest stuff you can buy. I do not recommend wrapping a full car in this. I'm very surprised it lasted as long as it did. The stuff I used is very prone to rock chips, and lifts pretty easy.

Dayamn. So for the most part if you were to get your car wrapped, the main expense is labour? As you said about 15+ hours with 2 friends. Thats much less than I thought It would run... Hmm

I saw you down by Sikome Lake a few weeks back.

Just wondering, how long does it take to apply the vinyl for the whole car? Id be really interested in doing or having that done to my Allroad...

it took me a while, between cutting the vinyl and then putting it on the car, it took me probably about 7 hours cutting and planning, and then probably another 8 actually applying it and this was with 2 extra sets of hands.
