  • It's about to get exciting - C63 AMG

Well... After many long nights and contemplating... I've done it. I ordered Agency Power headers and midpipes for the C63!

With them on a new tune, I should be a hairslength away from 600 crank horsepower!!! It will also sound a lot more "exotic" what with all 4 cats being deleted...

I will update with tons of pictures when they arrive and during the install. As well as dyno charts and a video of the sound. If it proves to be too loud I'll be getting an Agency valve controlled exhaust.

Why don't you make a thread for your car in the members rides section, then post everything in there. Keeps things less cluttered, and people less grumpy.

I don't typically post about the C63, but you make a good point.

If Rod or anyone could move this, I would be indebted to them!

But... Headers actually do increase horsepower. Especially with the C63, as it has massive flow restrictions.

Can you imagine how many stickers I could have got for the cost of headers... Could have added like a million hp and covered the car.

That's just silly, you would be adding weight then and would actually, in fact, lose horsepower. Do it on a dyno if
                    You don't believe me.

That makes me wonder... Adding weight doesn't exactly "lose" horsepower, because it has no effect on the engine potential, but it does decrease the power/weight ratio and slow the car down.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't care for that sound at all. It's just loud, it's not refined.

Video's make it sound... Pretty bad. In person it's quite nice.

Though I've heard an Xpipe also helps a lot.

Sounds mean as **** but I agree stock sounds better. C63s are already so loud and so good sounding

I'm more after the power gains. I'm thinking I'll end up with an Agency valve controlled exhaust too.

Funny story, I was behind a V10 M5 today and he completely drowned out my car, couldn't even hear it with my windows up.
