Ugh, not a chance in hell... Keeping the mufflers and resonator. I've heard a straightpiped one too... They don't even sound like a car anymore. More like heavy machinery hooked up to a megaphone.

Talked to some header owners, they say it only gets really insane when you are 4000-7200RPM. In comfort mode driving normal theres no major difference from stock. Considering the car does 100km/h at 1800 revs, I find that pretty acceptable.

Haha not a lot of love... I had a look at a few on youtube and the one I liked was the Akrapovic. But that probably costs a year's worth of tuition to Harvard.

Think I'll be having a muffler welded into the midsection before I mount everything.

On MBworld it seems one of these off the midpipe will calm the beast.

Two things scare me about a SC... The price, and the fact it will probably change the driving dynamic of the engine.

Not a fan. Definitely doesn't sound "exotic"! But then again I'm probably the minority as I don't really like the way they sound stock either!
