It looks like I've tracked down quite an interesting character who's got a lot of 90's parts. I happen to be in travelling for work, in the same city as him today and might get a chance to take a sneaky look at some 17" Nothelle Type N's that he's willing to part with. He's got 5 wheels plus with all centre caps and the locks. They look like they need refinishing, but this could be too good to miss.

Redline Goods made a really nice leather shift boot for my MK3 back in the day... and if you want a steering wheel guy, I think mine turned out pretty good.

Thanks Rob. I'll check that out. I'd been eying up something vintage but it's fairly pricey. I've been looking at Spoonfed Tuning's site for a few specialist items like spoilers, matts etc. Also considering getting some textured black side-skirts from Opticwerks.

Those are MK3 GTI seats not Corrado seats. Regardless, I'm confident you will replace them some thing nice (pole positions, recaro sportsers, etc)

Well spotted. You know your stuff, Derek! The seller told me he sourced these from a Passat at the same time as taking it's glass sunroof. Either way, Since I've been interested in this car I've been looking for options on freshening up the interior. I was considering getting it reupholstered but I had a stroke of fortune and found an entire Canadian Recaro interior - Front and back seats as well as door cards. It's super clean and sitting in my garage ready for an install when the car arrives. While the interior is stripped I'll take the opportunity to shampoo the carpets. There are a few electrics that need to be run for the seats too.

Nice Find! The Corrado was my dream car in University but when I graduated I settled for a new MK3 GTi VR6. Drove it for 7 years but always wished I had bought the Corrado instead. I'd probably still have it!

Nice Find! The Corrado was my dream car in University but when I graduated I settled for a new MK3 GTi VR6. Drove it for 7 years but always wished I had bought the Corrado instead. I'd probably still have it!

Solid advice! Yeah I'm expecting problems. That way, anything good is a bonus. Here's a shot of the interior. Not bad but definitely looking tired.

I bought the Imola and the Black S4 that way.
The Imola was risky business, as it felt like one of those too good to be true situations, especially considering it was on brand new Rotiform LHRs. Everything was exactly as communicated.

The trick is to always expect a handful of things to be not as you'd hoped, so as to avoid regret.

Lovely looking car, which I'm sure will appreciate quickly in the coming years

Thanks dudes! Yes I love the colour too. It's one of the things that really sold me on it. I love those 90's burgandy/wine red paints. This one is called Bordeaux Pearl.

Yeah it all seems to work really well. I'm on a hunt for some 17" Nothelle Type N's though. People seem to love or hate them. I think they're crackers!
