Re: New to me R32
I had some time yesterday to compare the new headlights for the Golf with what we have on our Passat.
Pics not great, but camera was on manual mode so it should be easy to compare. More snow on the ground in front of the Golf.
Passat are factory projector headlights with hid H7 bulbs, 55w, 4300k, cheap from ebay. Lenses redone, no glare at all. Output is better than the halogen bulbs but not great by my standards.....

In the Golf are the new Morimoto projectors with their brand of D2S bulbs, 55W and 4300k

Pretty happy for now but we'll see how it goes when driving. I don't think glass lenses will make any difference since the plastic lenses are really clean.

Re: New to me R32
No mistake on your side as they look exactly identical, this is why I was surprised at first and didn't believe it. And since the bolt pattern isn't listed in the specs, I tried them on the Golf right away.Originally posted by Danaldson View PostAhh my mistake i thought they looked like b6 a4 wheels. Always liked them as well as the winter rims too.Last edited by syncrovan; 03-12-2017, 02:38 PM.

Re: New to me R32
They are Audi wheels but they are 5x100. I didn't believe it when I saw the ads for them and the seller told me he had them on his Mk1 TT so I thought they were rep but no, real OEMOriginally posted by Danaldson View PostAren't those Audi wheels? 5x112?

Re: New to me R32
I guess I shouldn't be worried then. Planning to get the 3M on them of course as I was looking to get some Lexan covers for them, but they are roughly 3 times the price of those lenses.....Originally posted by Geobmx4life View PostI've had glass lenses in mine for years, cracked one on the way back from Yellowknife last year, but with the 3m film on them, they held together until the new ones I ordered arrived.

I am little afraid with glass lenses here in Alberta but I wasn't able to find plastic one anyway.....

Re: New to me R32
Thanks Jerry. Brought back about 6 set of shroud to find one that fit well and I like. Pretty happy with the result, light output seems to be really good but I didn't drive the car yet.Originally posted by kujiwara View PostLights look nice! You could probably just run vw caps if you wanted
I wasn't sure if I could find VW caps for them and I had some paint and clear to use. We'll see how it looks with blank caps..... but I will definitely look for VW cap for my summer wheel here:
