    Eurodrivers Throwback Gallery

    As part of Eurodrivers 15 year anniversary I thought it would be a neat idea to post some photo's of the vehicles we were driving when the club was just starting out.

    Personally I'm a newish member of eurodrivers but I've been visiting this site since 2010 and have owned nothing but VAG cars since you could buy Mk1's new from the parking lot of the Macleod Trail Cactus Club. (Other Oldtimers will get the reference but most members won't have a clue what I'm talking about. Yes I'm that old )

    I came across some old photo's from a car show at Stanley Park from 2004. I had only been shooting digital for about a year at that time. I'm afraid I don't know whose cars these are but I'm sure other members will remember and let the rest of us know.

    Feel free to post your own photo's from back in the day.

    Here's what I was driving at the time. First new car I ever bought.

        Cant remember when i signed up, but its gonna say to the left lol. Never brought out my first jetta even though it modded with plastidip and red brembo brakes.

          This is the car that brought me here, although it was just to sell it. I actually bought it 6 years ago yesterday, and it was the first car that I bought - a 2004.5 Jetta GLI.



          My actual first car was handed down to me from my dad, who bought it new in September of 2000 - a 2001 Volvo S40 1.9T.

                Joined in 2006 and bought my first euro, a 2000 gti 1.8t

                  Great idea for a thread Dave, an ED retrospective so to speak!

                  This car was Simon's TDI OEM Plus, it was a well tuned and gorgeous MK4, I have a lot of memories in that car. Simon replaced it with this ugly Saab , the TVR carbon exhausts on it was pure genius too!

                    As for me, when I joined this group it was near the beginning and back in the NVD days, at the time I had a nice new MK4 GTI 337 that I waited months for after ordering it upon announcement, circa late 2002.

                    At the back of this very, very early group shot



                    After that I moved to a Porcelain Blue MK3 Jetta GLX, unfortunately I cannot seem to find any pics of that car, too bad as I really enjoyed that one.

                    Next I went a bit weird and got one of the first Smarts sold in Canada. With the mods I did to it, it was a very fun and enjoyable car, even with 60hp.

                    I had some Crossblade wheels first, but ultimately settled on those massive staggered Works, this was in the mid to late 2000s.







                    Selling the Smart I went into a new GTI, 2010 MK6 and did a few mods out the gate. Those Rotiforms were in the very first batch ever made.





                    I sold the MK6 and had a Fiat 500 for my last few months before leaving Canada, but did not ever have much done to it.

                        I think Derek has had the best car history, so many amazing rides, I even remember his silver MK3 VR6 on 16" Le Castellet wheels I believe it was.
