Nice, nothing to exciting but nice to do anyway. I was looking at the unitronic tune last night. Got me tempted.

Yeah, the manual just said it should be a setting on the dash and is was bugging me that it wasn't there. I wish I could retrofit memory seats to tie in to it, but too much effort.

I was eying up the JB4 tune after hearing good things about it.

I'm going to try this retrofit on the Alltrack:
        https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/index...7-golf.375175/

Seems it protects the undercarriage, but also makes for less road noise and a more slippery car (some say noticeable economy improvement, but will believe that when I see it)

Parts ordered today.... Will update when they get here.

Have you noticed any difference in economy or anything?

Economy, no, but really have not driven enough to make a call on that. Both wife and I figure it is a bit quieter though. Less turbulence SHOULD imply a mileage gain.
The web link above has claims like:
              "That's at least a 2.5MPG gain & possibly a 4.1MPG gain!!, which is a 5.2% to 8.62% gain!!"

Time will tell, I suppose. That's looking optimistic, to me. They were under 10$ US per side (plus nuts and bolts). I suppose any small gain could potentially make that worth while.

I've put about 2,500km on and collected some economy in various conditions, ordered these today, guess we wait and see. Even a 1-2% gain would pay for them in the first year.

Curious to see what you find!
We zipped out Spray Lakes way several times and the car just gets pummeled underneath. I had protection in mind first, but will be happy if I get mileage too!

I’m averaging 8.5l/100km, not great for mostly highway km. My rs4 is 11

I don't have a good number on the Alltrack. Not a lot of highway miles as of late.
The ol' Passat said 5.5L/100km after a trip to Invermere last weekend.

                        Re: 2019 Golf Alltrack!

                        I averaged 10.22 L/100km in the Alltrack...the R so far 10.63.
The best I got on the highway with the Alltrack was 7.16, the R...8.23.

Not bad, but not close to your crazy Passat numbers lol.

Guess I’m not doing to bad then, I can’t remember my golf r numbers. I do know my 2007 gti I could get down to 6.5 for lengths of time.

I'm averaging 8.83L/100km with my mostly highway commute. Best so far is 8.08 worst being 10.44. Much better than the MK5 2.5 in the same conditions.

Aero covers were just delivered this morning, now I have to find time to install.
