The white cabby is my friends and it is an american spec and he will be taking it back to the states when he leaves. The black mk1 is mine I just got it this past weekend. It is an 82 so it will be just old enough to take it back to the states when I leave with out converting it, and I plan on doing just that. That was the whole reason why I bought it. I plan on doing some serious work on it this winter. I am not going to do much with the outside right now mostly just suspension and brake work, also getting the motor running good. I plan on having it ready to race for next years autocross season. It doesn't need to be pretty to dodge cones.

thanks! this winter I am getting it ready to be an autocross car. It will also be driven at some tracks here like the Nurburgring. And mostly just to have fun with on the back roads on the weekends. I think my friend payed way too much for that cabby. He paid like $2500 US I think. I got mine for only 450 euro about $600 US. His is in a little beter shape but mine runs better.

I believe because he's stationed there and plans to move back at some point. Which makes sense, it'd be a shame to buy a new car and then find out you had to leave and sell it.

exactly I am in the US military here in Germany at the moment. I will be returning to the states in late 07. I plan on having this car way past then. Also there is a dealer here that sells US spec cars to the US military tax free, After delivery to Germany I paid $21,060 USD for the 1.8t 2dR gti with the sunroof and monsoon package and the 17" wheels. I plan on getting a few euro goodies while I am here for it. I am not too sure of what to get though. I would like to get the euro R32 kit. I like the rear bumper on one of your cars it is the 4dr silver golf with the BBS CH wheels and he autocrosses I think his name is simon but isn't there 2 simons on here and both have silver golfs. I seen a pic of one of your meets and that bumper looks awesome. I am not sure what else to get though.

It's the full R32 Kit I believe. The bumper just doesn't have the exhaust cutouts? Someone else here will know for sure.

That is Simon L 's car (Boy Racer) and he has the full oem R line kit. The back bumper can have an exhaust cutout but it is designed for a 337/20th style exhaust. The black trim piece can either come with or without a hole and the bumper underneath has the cutout.

                            Thanks Kris
