  • Photos of 1982 Jetta

Here's the photos of my Husband's Beater.

Check out the paint its messed up from being parked at the airport in Vancouver and Supposably all the crap dropping off the planes did this to the paint. Maybe it was all the Sh*T hawks that did it- Seagulls.

I don't think it is worth the paint wheels and drop seeing as she is on her last legs. Too many to list let me tell you. Personally I would like to buy another engine to drop in her when the one goes that is in there now. She is built like a tank but is getting tired top speed if lucky 120 - 110 is the norm. great zip around in town car.

Did I tell you if my friend Nadine ends up she doesn't want this car when she moves from Winnipeg we are going to sell her for $300.00. Nadine gets first dibs though before anyone else. We are going to give the car to Nadine for a cup of coffee as trade.

Ok how did the topic of my beater Jetta car get on to Trailer Park Boys? All from talking about paint and seagulls.

                    Weird really weird.

so can anyone recommend so good seat covers for my beater that don't cost an arm and leg to buy?

We have crappy tires on the seats now but they are falling apart on us. Oh well as my Husband says it only a beater. Its not like its my MK4 Model.

BTW my Kuhmo tires are awesome in the snow had to drive in the stuff last friday to work at the Ski hill for bit.

Mk1 Jettas are fairly rare, I bet you'd get good coin for a rust free (If it is rust free but it sure looks good) shell. Like Blair said, some old school 14" wheels and a drop, that think would look sick. Man, the more old school I want to make my car the more older school I want to go.

If I had a garage i'd totally take on a project like that, but I have enough going on at present.

The Jetta (GAS) it has minimal rust and the interior isn't too bad considering its age. The Carpet on the floor is coming up and she has has been caulked around the windows to prevent water leaks - bad for that year of Jetta we were told. 1982. The Fact it stuff runs and goes everywhere is awesome.
