  • Jaguar XF Sportbrake

Following an exceedingly long teaser campaign, Jaguar has finally released the first images and details of the new XF Sportbrake ahead of its scheduled unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show.

It is described as the most versatile Jaguar ever created and it becomes the second body style to join the XF range. It features a new rear end with brand spanking new panels behind the B-pillar that creates a cargo area of 1,675 liters and a weight increase of just under 70kg. The dimensions are virtually unchanged compared with its sedan sibling with a length increase of just 5mm.

Diesel engines will bless the XF Sportbrake line, including 2.2-litre four cylinder and 3.0-litre six-cylinder units. Both of which are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive system.

The new variant will join the sedan in showrooms from the third quarter of 2012 in the UK market.

I wouldn't think this would work too well, but this actually looks fantastic!
