2012 Porsche Golf??

There is a rumor floating around the Porsche wants to add an entry level car to it's range based upon the VW Golf. Who knows but an interesting looking rendering and if Porsche takes over VW they can probably do whatever they want, although I think the German government is still fighting the takeover hard.

It would really cheapen the brand. If it was RWD though (which it wouldn't be) that would be pretty cool.

Exactly, that's why I said it would cheapen the brand. I've even heard the boxster cheapened the brand too much by some of the purists.

Except it would probably go something like "So what are you driving these days?", "Oh, I bought a porsche" "Oh really?! Nice what kind?!" "A porsche golf", (dissapointment) "Oh, those are ok I guess".
