I just read the reivew from January edition of Top Gear.. sounds like an awesome car. The playstation link is now even stronger, with the in dash display software being written by the same guys who are writing the software for GT5.

    Inside Line tests GT-R

Well the most controversial topic on most boards these days seems to be the GT-R. Lots of rumors have said that Nissan's figures for performance have been exaggerated compared to its competitors, and there has been a lot of speculation about what would happen once the cars started being tested independently.

Inside Line managed to do some real performance testing- Source: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/19/i...its-very-fast/

"Zero to sixty came in 3.3 seconds, and the quarter mile flashed by in 11.6 at 120.9 mph. This, according to Inside Line, makes the '09 GT-R the quickest car that they've ever hooked their test equipment to."

Caveat: Porsche 911 Turbo hits 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and blasts through the quarter-mile in 11.6 at 118.5 mph. If it had DSG and launch control though like the GT-R, it would possibly do better. Porsche has announced including DSG in the very near future, so they may be able to remedy this situation with some ecu tuning and a new transmission.

$70,000 MSRP for the GT-R but you can bet dealerships will tack on a lot right now.
