Re: what do you guys use to ship from the us?
I can't ship it through usps I gave them a call (It's a trunk) and pretty much told me they won't ship it due to their size restrictions (Length + Girth cant be more than 108 inches). Fed Ex is charging me the price of the trunk and then some just because its an oversized package and oversize can't be shipped ground. How bad is UPS? Because I got the lowest shipping quote from them thus far. Still calling around.Originally posted by Khyron View PostUSPS, Fedex - never UPS.drive green ||

UPS is cheaper because they rape you on the flip side. Like I'm talking 100 bucks more than Fed on a set of springs. Check beyond and search for UPS if you want 100 more stories.
See if Fedex includes duty/broker when shipping air. Might work out cheaper than you think.

I don't mind UPS beyond the fact that my delivery guy hates me due to the amount of stuff I have sent. If you ship with the recommended services like I do you wont pay to much at all!

I'm pretty sure that UPS page is wrong, I have gotten some crazy bills from them that don't correspond to those rates.Originally posted by hopya View PostThat's good! Ive never been aware of this. Definitely going to try this out.KR

Using those services? if you call they well tell you there is no brokerage on those listed services. There are some other fees but nothing to bad. Just shipped a package from the US using UPS and only got charged duty! I have a massive order coming in tommorow from the US using UPS. Ill let you know how it goes!Originally posted by Kor View PostI'm pretty sure that UPS page is wrong, I have gotten some crazy bills from them that don't correspond to those rates.

Really.... You guys on here have had bad luck. The most I have had UPS charge me is $104 for four 23lbs Wheels with a value labeled at $900 shipped from California. To me, that isn't that bad. Again, I have had lights shipped UPS in a fairly large box and only had to pay $30 extra while the contents were worth $700. Again with my Coilovers, shipped from California I just paid the more expensive shipping rate that UPS offers that waves the fee of brokerage and whatever. I haven't had any complaints thus far with UPS and they have always been super fast at shipping too. It really isn't that much extra for the size, weight, and worth, really the fees they charge seem to be pretty random. Goodluck

If your shipper declared $0.00 value as its a sample you more then likely wouldn't be paying so much.Originally posted by Stonewall View PostWell I have been charged duty on items that where sent to me for free (electronic samples). Frown on the brown!
My order that I am expecting tomorrow or friday is 115lb. it was $200 to ship versus fedex with slower service at $750
