I saw a Fido commercial on TV today and they are offering a pretty good plan for smart phones. It might be worth looking into for those of you who are looking to get new phones and contracts.

The Touch Diamond is an excellent phone, much much better than its predecessor, the Touch. It is the only touch screen phone that can be regarded in a similar light to the iPhone particularly because it's a well-featured smartphone that does media better than other phones.

The Instinct is a good phone if you don't want a smartphone. Otherwise, stay away.

I wish I could have a Bold but I enjoy my plan from Telus and I enjoy the feel/keyboard of my Curve.

I enjoy my plan though an O&G company - 0 down, 0 payments, 0% interest!

I highly recommend it to everyone.

I didn't say WM is good in and of itself. However, the Touch Diamond is an excellent phone and manages to make WM usable.

I had the first gen Iphone about 2 days after it was released in the states......cool TOY. I played with the 3G iphone for about a week when it cam out here......again cool toy.

I now have the BB Bold........ For business, hands down 100 times better then the iphone, for toyness factor, the iphone wins......but who really cares where the nearest Tim Horton's is anyway?

RIM should be doing well with the thunder if they can hit the target right

RIM will never go out of business since they have the best phones for businesses Big businesses will not switch to the iPhone because it lacks the necessary security, e-mail functionality, and physical keyboard needed for firing off thousands of emails and messages a day. The iPhone is aimed at a completely different market.

BBs are meant to be for businesses but it's nice to see them going for the consumer market as well. More competition means better products for the consumers.

use a blackberry and use an iphone back to back. for FUNCTIONALITY the blackberry is miles ahead of the iphone. for FUN the iphone is miles ahead of the blackberry.
Now some will try and justify and say they can do their business on their iphone. That may be the case, but that same business can be done 10x faster on a blackberry with amazing ease.
You can watch movies on a blackberry as well as listen to music and take pictures...but doing it on an iphone is easier.

Point is, it all depends what you want out of the phone.

I used both...and found because I use it so much for work, the iphone is useless. I can put music on my blackberry if I wanted to, but I kill my battery enough in a day I don't need another thing doing it. I also find the iphone slightly larger than i would like for a "personal" phone. Do you NEED a full size screen for everything you are doing? I didn't. BB won for me. For those who are tech junkies and highschool kids who want to watch movies in class...the iphone is the winner
