Lincoln was very good, some of the best acting I have seen in a long time. If you like movies with lots of talking and not much action, go see it

Saw Gangster Squad, I thought it was really good but some people disagreed with me. They don't love Emma Stone like I do though.

You're right, Leo was unbelievable. Waltz is beginning to become my favourite actor. I didn't think "Django" stretched on too far, I could have gone another two hours.

I'll be watching "Gangster Squad" tomorrow, the funny thing is, I was disappointed when I heard that Emma Stone was in it. I can't stand her.

The Hobbit was really good! Didn't feel that long.

Watched Django, all I can say is wow. One of my favourite movies, all time. I was turned off of "Hobbit" by some reviews by friends. Going to watch "Gangster Squad" on Tuesday.

I've heard good and bad things about the Hobbit. Most of the bad seems to be whiny people in general. I personally thought it was a great movie. It's a little less dark than the Lord of the rings series IMO. More humour. It has the same amazing scenery, but a little more noticeable CGI. I saw it in 3d and thought it blew Avatar out of the water (it should, technology has to be improving), but it really seemed to me that they used the 3d more to give depth to the scenes rather than blow you out of your seat with crap flying at you all the time. All the returning characters were great, and the new ones were well acted I think. Some of it was a little more "cheesy" than LOTR but it's just the first of three and I expect that to tone a bit in the next two.

I have not seen either yet, Django is not out in the UK till the 18th of this month and just have not made it to the Hobbit yet.

I'm dying to see this. I'll have to watch it when I get home from ND. Anyone have a review on "The Hobbit"?

"Skyfall" was pretty awesome. I loved "Lincoln" as well. Those two are a toss up for best of the year for me.
