well there is an obvious flaw in that crash test, there should be someone inside. everyone knows in vw t3s, buses, etc your legs act as the crumple zone, definitely not a very well thought out test

It also had 1000lbs of weight in the box, and it is moving at 50MPH, there is a big thread on the Samba, about that video. You take any car, put 1000lbs of plate into it, and get it going going 50mph, and see what happens.
Starting with the Baywindows, buses actually had a fair bit of safety technology for its time. Actually using technology, instead of just making it big as ****, like the yanks did.Comment
