I'm just running a brushed 19T in it right now and its pretty quick. I'll probably upgrade to brushless down the road. Its direct-drive so there is no gearbox, just a pinion and a spur gear.
It actually handles really well. Its got a little bit of understeer at initial turn-in that I'd like to tune out of it, but its suprisingly easy to drive.
sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. i got the steel dif put into my tc3 and 11.1v and a big brushless . the rims (not the tires) seperated.....it was nuts .... how does that handle . paint looks great
I finished the F104 last week. I decided to go with Red Bull for the paint and I think it turned out pretty decent. Anyhow, I'm still dailing in the handling, but its pretty fun so far!
i worked on the track last night its huge , witch sucks because most of my models are only 10 or even 16th scale . and they have put in obstacles for 1/8th scale ,, and big for 1/8th at that, its going to be interesting for me but i am sure they will tone it down after they realize its too ott . i did some hop ups on my little slash last night as well
all the aluminum parts i could find ( i can get arms as well now )
i did aluminum gtr shock bodies , aluminum rocker arms, shock mounts , traxxas aluminum pushrods and tie rods . and new knucles as the old ones were getting sloppy
yea i have soo much in lipo batteries now nitro has nothing on a 11.1v brushless car .
nabbed a ax10 crawler to play in the back yard with the kid . its fun
The E-maxx is a lot of fun, the top speed isn't as high as the nitro Revo I had but I think that has a fair bit to do with the Revo having a 2-speed gearbox.
I've used the E-maxx way more than I ever used my nitro 'cause I can just charge up the packs, turn it on and run it. With it being waterproof I can just bring it in, dry it off and put it on the shelf.
Check out vids on youtube, you will be impressed. Only way I'll move away from electric is if I was to go 5th scale and get a 2 stroke motor.
