    Re: Post Your Pictures

Not this time. I was only supposed to be shooting pics for his forsale ad... Kinda got carried away and started doing rig shots. Forgot the CPL at home.

        Thanks.

Nah. Not as sharp as it could have been due to the f22 but I think it came out alright.

ND filters.. not many people even know what that is. I find it's better to not use them and just change your stop and lens.

            Re: Post Your Pictures

Most guys use 6-10 stop nd filters to let you get a long exposure rig shot in the daytime. It is very common.

just cause you're uneducated and stuck paying HST doesn't mean everyone isn't as bright as yopu

You can stop down all you like, but if you're shooting in daylight and you want anything longer than like 1/3 of a second exposure time you're going to be too blown out to save anything. Using a 10 stop ND allows you to shoot in full sunlight and get a nice long exposure for that awesome blur look.

i lol'd. HST is going to fix all of my problems! you wait and see.

i suppose that is true. my filmography instructor was very "don't use ND filters". possibly because shooting for film/tv is different than shooting stills? I don't know enough about the difference to be sure, aside from it being 1 still versus 24 frames per second captured. although in hindsight and in my experience, blurry footage is a fucking pain in the ass beyond imagination. the camera's we had had horrible ND filters as well, you'd get black fuzzy grain. ew. anyways that's why i prefer no ND filters.

lol, uneducated. you're such a nice guy.

No I graduated from the Art Institute 3 years ago. I've been working in TV/Film since. VFS was/is too expensive, I've had a better education working than I could have had there. Their VFX program isn't comparable to their film program.

Sidearm... The long exposure shot of the shiny street is cool. Like the fact that some of the people are in focus while some are not. Good stuff.
