http://www.fendrihan.com/ is one site that has razors. I bought a cheap safety razor on ebay to try it out and loved it. Look for Weishi for a cheap new razor, then go and buy a sample pack of razors to figure out which one works best for you. Be prepared to cut yourself until you learn to shave with it. I didn't actually ever cut myself, but other friends have, just take your time. Once you get the hang of it, you'll never go back to the disposable (any very pricey) stuff.
I'm currently thinking of upgrading my razor to a Merkur Vision (or similar).
Google wet shaving for more information. If you want a little luxury in your shave, this can't be beat.
oh yea i have a braun electric shaver too.. with a cleaner dealy on the charger.. works good but electric shavers suck balls on cutting throat hair.. well for me anyways

yea I agree I have yet to find an electric shaver that can get those pesky throat hairs. But for shaving the stache an electric can't be beat.
I have been playing around with a bunch of different razors, but I think I will be going back to the Mach 3, I've tried every fancy razor I could find to try to get a smooth close shave. i've found those stupid micropulse razors don't work worth a damn and I wasted a good $60(if I remember correctly) on my last one so I wouldn't recommend one with the micropulse "technology".
As for technique what do you guys do? I Always shave against the grain but a lot of people tell me this is wrong!?!?! my dad taught me this because if you go with the grain you don't get a close shave at all and I've tried both ways and when I shave against the grain it seems to last that much longer.
I want to try a straight blade. Friend of mine has a barber shave him, sounds wicked.
I shave with the fusion, then maintain with a phillips shaver. I don't need it to be skin close. When I was in Brugge, I bought a 4 pack of Mach 3's from a grocery store pharmacy section, for a whopping 35 EURO!
Safety razor with "feather" razor blades. Best shave I've ever had and incredibly cheap to replace blades (which are MUCH sharper than the cartridge style blades).
I use a Merkur Classic handle, EJ Real Badger brush and Bath & Bodywork C.O. Bigelow cream. Blades vary.
I met a guy at a wholesale show who worked for a wet shave importer and he knew more about shaving than I thought was possible. He sent me in the right direction.
It does take some time to get used to using a safety razor as they are a little less forgiving than the cartridge razors most people use. The quality of the shave and the price cannot be beat.
http://www.fendrihan.com/ is a good place to start if you are looking at going to a wet shave or safety razor. Use caution when picking blades as some of them are not a forgiving as other. They do have a sampler pack of blades so you can try them out & decide which are your favorites.
