Re: Autotemp ne, crap service and work do not go there!
Ive had experiences with this place as well. And I also had an absolutely horrible experience.
I had them replace factory head unit, speakers, amp, and wiring with all new stuff. Nothing was put in properly, car rattled like crazy from all the lose components, hissing from bad ground, door panels loose, wires not attached to the amp properly and from driving they came out. I ended up taking the car back 5 on seperate occasions. I got the run around as to who's fault it was, they even tried to blame me, telling me i took things out and put them back in. They took no responsibility and finally i got them to refund a portion of the install cost. They had the car approximately 3 weeks all total including bringing it back and leaving it.
They apparently have 3 managers to pass you around to, and no one has any say to fix or deal with an issue. The final resolution came when i went in during a big sale, and started to speak loud enough for every new customer in the store to hear how poor service i had had so far.
I ended up taking my other vehicles over to Audio Concepts on 32nd and 19th street and so far have had 0 problems with them. I did have a problem with a faulty head unit, and they covered me with a loaner while it was being warrantied. I ended up going with a different head unit and they did a direct swap for me at no cost. Amazing customer service.

so they had to make a dash kit for it that looked like sh*t and was held in by stuff used on construction sites to hold pipes up on ceilings.. I don't think an S10 is so uncommon that they have never seen one 1998 - when they stopped making them in 04 maybe its all the same. Future shop also cut up a wiring harness in a friends car and left it like that when it was picked up and wired the power wire from the car to the antenna wire off the deck and said the deck doesn't work
and the installer said he knew how Volkswagen work and put the stereo in his car.
If it's smoken it ain't broken
