Hey what's out there for those of us who rock out the tape-deck hifi in an old car?

I reaaaaaaaaaaally don't want to have to use an earpiece for my iPhone (3gs).

For what it's worth, I bought a low end BluANT at a boxing week sale ($28 vs 89) and it seemed ok for the first little bit but sucked after a week. No one could hear me. It was a visor mount one.

Thats the one, they were $65 on futureshop's site last week. They work well, a bunch of staff bought them and say they are great and easy to use

The phone is iphone 4. I don't really want to be fumbling with headphones when I'm driving though.

Is this the Rocketfish thing? http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/produ...b7e611b526en02
Seems like a good option. simple and cheap. Have you tried it? Can you actually hear and have a conversation with it?

The parrot is a bit more than I'd want to get into.

if you spend the extra coin you can go for a parrot piece that integrates with the factory audio system

i installed the MKi 9200 into a passat a while ago and it worked well.

    Re: Hands Free?

Well, if you have an iPhone, just use the headphones, if you hold the button it allows for
Voice dialing and all that jazz. Otherwise there is one called Parrot (I think)

    Hands Free?

With the distracted driver law comming into effect on Sept 1, I've been thinking about getting some sort of hands free bluetooth device.

I have the stock monsoon unit in my GTI with a phatnoise in the trunk. The software is a pain but I only update my music 3-4 times a year so it's not a huge deal... and the voice prompts let me keep my eyes on the road. I really like this setup so I'm not overly interested in getting a new head unit.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Scott
