I generally avoid talking on the phone while driving, and texting as well so I am not too worried, and my car has built in bluetooth that I can finally setup too.

I wonder how it differs from talking to a passenger, not in a legal difference, but in a brain difference.

And who uses both hands at 10-2 all the time anyway?
I'd say I can carry a conversation while driving pretty easily, but I find I am not paying attention as much as I should if I have my phone out. Just having a hand tied up steady is an issue, plus looing at caller ID, dialing, various unlocking and such. It's easy to say you'd drop the phone if you needed to, but I don't think that always works as planned. I guess that doesn't explain why, but I find myself distracted if I'm on the phone in the car, so I've pretty much stopped doing it altogether. I'll be looking to get a hands free setup asap.

Ask anyone in BC how well that excuse works.
Talking on your phone, or texting, without using HF is about as stupid as drunk driving.
