Shiney steering wheel!

Just bought a euro RS4 steering wheel for my RS4. Its perforated and full leather. Its in perfect condition however the leather is a bit shiney. Anyone have any good ideas on how to return the leather to being matt vs. shiney?

is it shiney because of product or because its new leather?
if its the former you can try rubbing it down with some rubbing alcohol on a cloth to try and take the chemicals out of it, if its the latter, try the rubbing alcohol otherwise just use it and it'll wear in slightly

D you can also try some water first, if its real leather it should absorb any water without affecting it and maybe soften it up

if there is something on the plastic and leather, I would use some leather cleaner or conditioner, alcohol isn't the best for leather, it can dry it out. or maybe use leather cleaner after the alcohol?

Use leather cleaner, or mild soap and water first.

Otherwise stop eating greasy burgers and fries while you drive

Try Armor-All matte finish dashboard wipes and when the wheel is still wet, dry it off with a micro fiber cloth. It won't bring it back to its original matte leather state 100% but you should see an improvement!

Well I googled my question and found out that Mr. Clean Erasers apparently work well. Many people say not to but I tried it anyway. I lightly dampened the eraser and lightly rubbed the steering wheel. Night and day difference. Looks brand new!

3 parts water 1 part vinegar should take it off, also some mink oil cream might do the trick but try it on a small section first and see how it looks
