  • Wheel Redrilling. Looking for Recomendations.

I am struggling to find concave wheels that I like in 5-112 so I am looking at possibly getting some 114.3 re drilled. Any body have any suggestions for shops that can do it?

      Not a fan of them.

I got a crack repaired and the wheel was returned with all of the paint bubbled up around where they welded. Weld wasn't even ground down. No sanding. No touch-up. NOTHING. Had to argue with them until they offered to grind it down and paint.

This also interests me as I have some 114 wheels picked out... I've read that 12mm stud conversion allows the fitment of 114's but I tried some CE28's with no luck. Not even close. Lug holes were too small.

      School us.

Apparently it is wheel dependant... if you have wheels with smaller lug holes it doesnt work.

Anybody get 114.3 wheels to work with just a 12mm stud conversion?

Kinda what I figured. Thanks. I may just order the wheels and get em drilled if need be.

Like Mark said, it seems wheel dependent. I tried Volk CE28 and it was no go. Haven't tried anything else in 5x114 tho...

most 5x114.3 wheels have a smaller hole diameter than a 5x112 due to the 12mm stud. some japanese wheels can be fitted with a stud conversion, wobble nut and hub rings but your taking a risk. some wheels dont have a diameter small enough to work with wobble nuts

Ya most Japanese wheels will need to be drilled.
My Work equips needed a little bit of drilling with my:
                    14mm- 12mm stud conversion:

I have an extra set of these studs if anyone is interested..

I don't mind drilling out the lug holes... but I wouldn't use a stepped bit. lol.

Prob just take them somewhere to have the holes enlarged.

My car also has the ringer studs. The short ones though.

You buy the long ones, Todd?

                          I'm running the longer ones(2.5inch). So I have a short set (1.75 inch)for sale.

Any kind of metal modification on wheels I'd have done at a proper shop. Redrilling yourself it might come out perfect, but if you make one little mistake you may have to buy a new wheel.
