Thanks, a Jetta front end looks cool actually. Do you have to change the hood or fenders? (it looks like you wouldn't). There does seem to be a bit more Jetta stuff around for some reason.

I dont know how ghetto you wanna get but me and a dude at work bought my bosses old escort wagon(91). Right now its parked at the other guys house but we have big plans

        1) Jack it up! - Hammer some door-stops into the springs..good for proally 3inc.
        2) Make it a T-Roof! - Free!!! Just some wear on a saw blade
        3) Spray paint - colors of the General Lee is what we're lookin for
        4) Off Road it - Leave it dead in whichever ditch it dies in
        5) MDF body kit - Screwed into the doors probably, whatevers easiest

Man..apparently hammering door-stops into your springs is very dangerous but we're expecting to get perhaps 20mins worth of video out of this bad boy before it croaks haha

Only need to change, grill, lights and hood, but there are ways around the hood too!! Fenders and bumpers are the same on Golf and Jetta front ends!!

            Ways around the hood? Bozer?

I gotta do something about the grill right away because it looks terrible so I'll have some options.

Well you can run a golf hood still and have it over lap the grill partly. In my collection of parts I do have a brand new Jetta badgeless grill and I may have some jetta lights soon if my new bumper gets finished.

Interesting.... I'd be interested in doing that depending on cost. Perhaps PM me with what you'd be looking at. I'm ok with a bit of overlap on the grill as long as it doesn't stick out to far.

Re: Any Mk3's running small wheels?

The Jetta front with the golf hood looks AWESOME. Do you have to cut down the grill at all? Anyway, once I pick it up I'm gonna take it in and get some of the rust and stuff adressed. Once I know how much that is gonna cost me I'll be addressing the front end.

I've been looking around for a cheap front bumper too since the one that's on there is a little rough also, if you know of any let me know.

Also, I found some Ronal Turbos, I thought about seeing how much he wanted for them.

Re: Any Mk3's running small wheels?

I think there is only minimal adjustments made to the grill, but that also depends on which grill you run, so we should find out!! Ronal Turbos would be sweet, you will be needing some coilovers then!! Bumpers are not to expensive and really aftermarket wise there is not a huge amount that are noce and of good quality so I would say just try and find a used one in good shape or go euro bumper. I will soon have two but I may keep the extra one just in case I sell or maybe even run it in the winter.

I think that I can safely say that bad body kits aside (wings west, etc...) that is probably the ugliest mk3 i have ever seen.

Cool, I may have to pick your brain next meet about MK3 goodies. I prolly won't have too much money after I get the rough stuff cleaned up, so I may just look around for a stock bumper in better condition. I also need the dummy plates and stuff too. It looked like anything bumper wise at C1 was gonna cost me at least 250. I may have to talk to EU tuning!!

As for the Ronal Turbos, i'm gonna ask about them tonight. And yes I agree I'd need coilovers. So the wheels may have to go into my NEW BASEMENT for a while!
