Re: Music Time!
Nice review of the show. I wasn't there, but I saw them play in Seattle a couple of years ago. While I don't particularly enjoy audioslave I must admit, they put on a fantastic show.
All I have been listning to this week is various Nine Inch Nails. If you don't have a ticket for the nov. show I recommnd that you get one, even if you don't really care for NIN they have a crazy stage set up and they put on one hell of a show. Plus QOTSA and Death From Above are opening! It doesn't get much sweeter than that.

Re: Music Time!
I am unsure about that show, mixed feelings on MCR but I enjoy Thrice and Circa Survive.
Now I feel I need to make a couple of comments on last nights Audioslave show; first of all Jared Leto should stick to acting and not being a rockstar. Seether sounds like Nirvana meets Alice in Chains but sounded good and played well. However the boys from Audioslave blew the roof off the dome, there show was most impressive!!!!!!!!!! The guitar work of Tom Morello was freaking brilliant as he jumped around like a crazy mechanic in his coveralls playing some amazing solos and driving the band. Tim, Brad and Chris were also very very solid and the overall sound was amazing, and the show was all about the music. The song selections were great too they had some old and new tracks plus some Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Rage tracks. The crowd went absolutely insane when they played Killing in the Name it was amazing. They are a very talented band and seem to work very well together. I was with a friend who had seen both Soundgarden and Rage live and he said that Chris Cornell looks way more comfortable with these guys then he did in Soundgarden and I think it showed that they are going to be a great band for many years to come and I am busting out my Audioslave CD today thats for sure!

Re: Music Time!
I saw NIN/Queens Of The Stone Age/Autolux in Vancouver on Monday. It was hands down the best show I have ever seen, and I have been to alot of shows. All three bands really turned it out. I can't wait for november to see it again (only with Death From Above 1979 instead of autolux)

Re: Music Time!
I am still listening to the CO & CA disc a lot as I think it is excellent!! As for some Canadian content I listened to the New Pornographers Twin Cinema disc, not bad but I found it to be a bit mellow and slow in places, may have to give it another run through.
I have also given the new Metric disc Live It Out a listen and I am not sure on it, the second half seems better then the first, but definitely a lot grittier and less 80s pop feel then their first cd. There are some good tracks and I think it will improve with another listen or two.
Also looking forward to Audioslave sunday night too bad Kasabian got change to 30 Seconds to Mars though :(

Finally got the CO&CA CD last night and I am very happy with it, so far Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial) is my favorite track but I am enjoying it all!!

Re: Music Time!
I am a big fan of CO&CA's progressive post hardcore epic rock style, takes great elements of old and new!!
I am also looking forward to the Audioslave show in a couple weeks too!!
Edit: Have been checking out Diamond Nights debut CD Popsicle this morning and really enjoying it!Last edited by Canadian Turbo; 09-22-2005, 08:44 AM.

Re: Music Time!
The Mars Volta were pretty sweet, but it was totally not the right environment to see them. System fans are a little too meat-headed. I had to tell several people around me to shut the f*** up becasue they kept screaming "get off the fu***** stage" etc. Not cool. I didn't even stick around for system. not my bag.
EDIT: I DL'd the new CO&CA the other day... its no bad. It has a real classic rock (in the vein of iron maiden/judas priest) sort of vibe to it.Last edited by Mr. Burns; 09-21-2005, 02:41 PM.

Re: Music Time!
Well I have not been listening to too much new lately, I heard the System concert was good the other night and Mars Volta kicked some serious ass but I was not there to see it
I did try to pick up the new Coheed and Cambria CD yesterday but future shop had not bothered to put them on the shelves yet and the back was to crowded to get at them, so I will not be getting much from there in the future as they dont even care about getting new releases out on time. Sorry to rant but have had a good run of crap custmoer service lately
