DJ Mixing Software

Hi guys,

I am looking for some mixing software that will let me mix songs, extract beats and attach them with another song, allow dubbing etc. Any help is appretiated.

I use Mixmeister4 for patching the mp3s together, and it allows for the usual cross fade, and beat matching. As far as extraction of beats to attach to another song, I assume you mean sampling one song, then mixing it (overlay) of an existing song. This can be done with mixmeister as well, but if you want to get into creation of your own beats, looping, etc, you might want to check out fruityloops.

I like acid pro, fruityloops and reason. I have used acid pro and had great results remixing old jazz/blues into trip hop tracks. I have mostly used fruityloops to make beats then transferrred them into acid. If you want to get more into it then reason is awesome for making complete songs.

On a related note...

One company makes a full on DJ station that you connect to your iPod, its probably not so sophisticated but I bet it would be fun. I don't have any more details but I am sure someone else could find out.
