Rear Windshield

I drive an MKIV golf, and when I spray my rear windshield juice, it pee's out of my nozzle instead of a glorious spray... I have replaced the nozzle, as I thought there might be dirt trapped inside, but no dice.

Anyone else have this problem before? Or perhaps know of an EASY solution? The front spray's like my neighbor's dog on my lawn.

Maybe something crimping the nozzle supply tube?? I had a similar problem where my front windshield nozzles hardly worked, and then stopped completely. Tried cleaning the nozzles with a pin, and after months, finally took it to Fountain Tire at Northland. Turns out when the hood was closed, it was crimping the plastic nozzle tube by the hood hinge, so after they re-routed the tube out of the way, problem solved. Obviously, the rear line is harder to get at.. Good luck at finding out the problem!!!!

There is a problem with the spray tube on the rear washer nozzle. There is a brass or copper tube at the centre of the pivot point for the rear wiper assembly. This tube can break, leading to a leak inside your hatch and a loss of pressure in the spray. Often it is noticed by the spray head following the wiper blade, rather than spraying in the centre of the window.

Brent (can't remember his user name) has done a fix for this already and has a write up on this site....do a search. I'm in the middle of waiting for a replacement assembly I bought off of Vortex. Price for a new part (you have to buy the entire assembly) is high.

That would be me, you can also tell if it is broken if you pull out the rear sprayer and there is part of a brass pipe on it, of the fact that the inside of your trunk is full of washer fluid The best way to avoid braking the tube is to pull the whole washer nozzle plastic piece out and insert at the angle you want. You can also buy just the nozzle insert at the dealership for somewhat of a cheap price.
