Hmmm, the previous owner must of had that done then. They said it came stock but I guess not.
Thats to bad. All around tint looks hot! Specially dark tint on a black car

I don't think any Jetta's came with OEM tint, it's all aftermarket. As far as I know, no film is allowed to be applied to the front glass and it's up to how that piticular cop feels that day.

I know this may be a stupid question but what percentage is the stock tint on the Mk4 Jetta's?
Whats the legal limt for the front windows? Mine are untinted and I wanted to go as dark as my rears are

I've been pinched once. But it was by the RCMP which is to be expected because they are dicks. I have never had a problem with CPS. Only ever had compliments from those guys.

funny that rear tint is ok then. i guess children/back seat passengers have a better tolerance to stabby tinted glass wrapped around their head.

I've had 35% all around, including the front 2 windows, for 4 years with no tickets. *fingers crossed*

It's what I was told buy the pigs when they gave me my paperwork. Maybe the rear passengers have a different place on their priority list.

That sucks, I've had a cop make me peel it off and show him so I gould get my registration back. It's not the ammount of tint that is illegal, it's the application of film on the glass. It prefents the safety glass from being safe. It's supposed to break into tiny pieces, but with tint, it all stays together and all the sharp pieces can get wrapped around your head.

Well I made about 6 months and today I got pinched for my tint, grrr. Turns out 20% is much to dark and you can't see through my windows at 5:30 am, who'da thunk it? haha. Pretty good run if you ask me though. $57 by the way, nothing to major.
