I was stupid and passed on the Wolfsburg tour to spend an extra afternoon in Berlin. Berlin was boring.

Well I am sure you had a good time, but would have been cool to see. I will be touring Wolfsburg in June so I am uber excited!

I have only ever toured one car factory before and that was a Nissan plant in Japan.

    Bummed: No tours in Puebla

Well, I just returned from a trip to Mexico City, Puebla and Veracruz, did some touring around the city, dove in Veracruz and I'd hoped to do a tour of the VW facility in Puebla...no luck. They don't offer tours, the only thing that does happen (so far as I could find out with minimal spanish) is that the plant has an open house on December 12th every year.

It was a bummer to not get the see the plant. It was amazing the number of trucks full of VWs driving out to Veracruz delivering the cars for shipment abroad. Also saw the VW ship that runs the cars across the ocean, large, but not as large as a container ship.
Working...
